Google has added a feature called “Expert Intelligence” to its AI note-taking app, Gemini Notebook. According to The Verge, the update lets users bring titles they have purchased from Google Play Books directly into the app. Once imported, users can ask questions about the material and generate outputs such as plans, infographics, and AI podcasts based on the book’s contents.
During a briefing with The Verge, Google Labs editorial director Steven Johnson demonstrated the tool. In one example, he generated a recipe book using information from Michael Pollan’s Food Rules. In another, Gemini Notebook drew on a management-focused book by Kim Scott.
