Meta announced that it is “working on” bringing its Muse agent to its smart glasses, including new glasses unveiled at Meta Connect. Muse launched a couple of weeks before this announcement. According to Meta, users will be able to activate the agent by saying its name and ask it to perform tasks such as guiding a workout, logging meals, or assisting with shopping for products they are viewing.

Muse is one of several updates planned for Meta’s glasses. The devices are also set to receive new accessibility features, including a Hearing Enhancement feature that Meta describes as FDA-cleared software for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss.

Why it matters

Extending a voice-activated agent to wearable glasses moves AI assistance into hands-free, everyday contexts. The addition of an FDA-cleared hearing feature signals a broader push into accessibility for the hardware.

Who should care

Current and prospective Meta smart glasses users, as well as those interested in wearable AI agents and accessibility features, will want to follow how these capabilities roll out.
