SpaceXAI, Elon Musk’s AI company, has introduced Grok Bot, an always-on agent service designed to act like independent “AI teammates” that carry out work on a user’s behalf. According to the report, the bots operate within their own cloud-based computer environment and can sign into apps, tools, and websites the user already uses to complete multi-step workplace tasks. They only return to the user once assigned work is finished or when something requires approval. Using the service requires allowing Grok to sign into your online accounts.
Why it matters
The launch positions SpaceXAI alongside competing business-focused agent products from other providers, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT Work, Anthropic’s Claude Cowork, and Microsoft’s Copilot offerings. It reflects a broader push toward agents that autonomously handle workplace tasks rather than simply responding to prompts.
Who should care
Workers and businesses evaluating AI tools that can act autonomously across existing apps should note the capability, as well as the requirement to grant the agent access to sign into online accounts.
