1Password has introduced a browser integration for Anthropic’s Claude that allows the chatbot to access stored security credentials, including usernames and passwords. The feature, called 1Password for Claude, lets users authorize Claude to carry out multi-step tasks such as booking travel and managing online accounts without manually entering their login details.
According to 1Password, the credentials are not exposed to Anthropic’s AI models. This is enabled by what the company describes as a “zero-exposure security framework,” which injects the required credentials for each task rather than sharing the underlying security information with the model.
