We rank by merit, never by commission

Every rating on this site reflects our honest editorial assessment of a tool's capability, value, and fit — applied before any commercial consideration. A tool that pays us nothing can (and does) rank above a tool that pays a commission. We deliberately include excellent tools that have no affiliate program at all.

Where our prices come from

Prices are taken only from each vendor's own official pricing page — never from memory, aggregators, or third-party blogs. Every tool carries a "last verified" date. A daily automated check compares our stored prices against the vendors' live pages and flags any differences for a human to confirm before we update — so a machine never publishes a price on its own.

The "last verified" badge ages from green to amber to red as time passes. If you see amber or red, treat the figure as a guide and confirm on the vendor's site. Pricing and features in this fast-moving space change often; always double-check before you buy.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate or referral links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up — at no extra cost to you. This never affects our rankings or what we say about a tool. Notably, most of the biggest AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) have no affiliate program, so we earn nothing from them; we cover them because they matter, not because they pay.
