ChatGPT is OpenAI’s flagship assistant and the tool that brought generative AI to the mainstream. It handles everyday questions, long-form writing, coding, data analysis, image understanding, and natural voice conversations, and its custom “GPTs” let anyone build and share tailored assistants.
For most people it’s the safe default: broad capability, a polished interface, and the largest surrounding ecosystem. The trade-offs are cost at the high end (the $200/month Pro tier) and that, like the other big names, it has no affiliate or referral program.
