Reddit is introducing AI-driven moderation tools to help manage its communities. The company’s suite, called “Rules Hub,” uses large language models to assist moderators, starting with new subreddits and eventually extending across the site. Reddit is expanding who can access the tools now, ahead of a full launch planned for later this year.
With Rules Hub, moderators can decide which rules should be automatically enforced and what action should follow when a rule is triggered. The tools rely on LLMs to assess whether a post or comment matches the intent of a rule, which Reddit says helps handle nuance, natural language, and edge cases.
