NVIDIA reports that companies globally are building on its DSX AI Factory Platform to plan, simulate and operate both the power grid and the AI factory as a single system, spanning from the substation to the rack. According to the company, this adoption responds to an acute problem: power has become the biggest bottleneck in infrastructure.
Why it matters
As demand for AI compute grows, electrical power constraints can limit the ability to deploy infrastructure. Treating the grid and the AI factory as one integrated system is presented as a way to address this bottleneck.
Who should care
Organizations building or operating large-scale AI infrastructure, along with those managing the associated power requirements, may find the integrated approach relevant.
