Amazon has added runtime domain and published-date filtering to Web Search on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. The new per-request filters let developers control, on a per-call basis, which web sources their agents can consult and how recent those sources must be. According to the announcement, this filtering is enforced server-side. The release also extends Web Search availability to the Europe (Ireland) and Asia Pacific (Tokyo) Regions.

Why it matters

Giving developers per-request control over source domains and freshness allows agents to draw on more targeted and current web information. Server-side enforcement means the constraints are applied by the service rather than left to client handling.

Who should care

Developers building agents on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore that rely on web search, particularly those needing control over source selection and recency, or operating in the newly added Ireland and Tokyo regions.
